What do you think of when you imagine living the spiritual life? Does it look like a solitary life free of relationships? Is it an image of someone sitting for hours under a tree? What if we told you it doesn’t have to be so particular?
When we picture living the spiritual life, we show it from a conditioned perspective. Some of us imagine a punishing God, a life of rigid devotion and sacrifice to be “worthy” of receiving our blessings.
Does that mean that those who are maintaining relationships or developing a career cannot practice Spirituality? Spirituality does not need you to quit what you are born into.
Before moving further, let’s understand this term.
What is Spirituality?
There are a lot of interpretations of what Spirituality means. There are different perspectives and varying definitions. To me, Spirituality is remembering that life is not happening to us, it is happening for us.
Very simply, Spirituality is looking within ourselves and knowing that all we need is right there and that the universe has always been a mirror to us.

What is the Spiritual Path?
I have often expressed how the human body and mind are vehicles for the Soul to grow. There is a reason we were born into this life of responsibilities.
These responsibilities are here to teach us our lessons, balance our karma, and transform our triggers into love. That is what it means to realize that we are on the Spiritual path.

Why the lessons?
Each Soul charts a plan before taking birth into a human body. This plan is called the Pre-Birth plan. I invite you to consider your life situations to be the tests you need to pass to move to the next grade.
All the difficulties and sufferings are all here to teach us our lessons. The lessons we need to learn are decided when we craft our Pre-Birth plan as Souls. Our relationships, situations, and life incidents, are all part of our Pre-Birth plan.
Understanding Spirituality beyond the Stereotypical Portrayals
1. Spirituality IS daily life, not a separate path.
Do all humans have a Soul? Yes. What we must understand is, that all of us are on the Spiritual path. It is an absolute myth that Spirituality and daily life are two different paths.
Going through each day and having experiences that impact our Soul is all part of being on the Spiritual path.
2. Judgment separates us from Divine Consciousness
Furthering my point above, believing that spiritual life is something foreign to daily separates us from Divine consciousness. We separate ourselves from the very consciousness we are a part of.
Labeling one person as Spiritual and the other as not creates judgment. The truth is that we are all on the Spiritual path, some of us consciously, some of us not unconsciously.
3. Spirituality exists as a point of view, it is beyond just rituals
There is still some misinformation about Spirituality being about just crystal balls, mandala wallpapers, or some rituals. That couldn’t be further from the truth. Spirituality is a point of view. It is an approach to understanding the universe and our lives.
4. It’s a work in progress: a journey, not a destination
If you have ever judged anyone on the basis of how Spiritually aligned you think they are, you have separated them from the truth of Oneness.
Being on the Spiritual path is a work in progress for all of us souls. We have our own pace, our karma, and our plan. The journey itself is the fulfillment of our destiny.
Like I said at the beginning of this post, Spirituality does not need you to quit on what you are born into. Modalities like the Automatic Writing Workshop, Akashic Records reading, intuitive training, and more can help us embody a meditative state of mine.
A meditative state of existence is always aware of its truth- a Spiritual being having a physical experience. Realize this truth and feel free to share it with others.
Be a beacon of love.
